# Data License Notice

This repository includes dictionary data derived from structured Nepali Brihat Sabdakosh JSON work credited to [`bikashpadhikari/nepali-brihat-sabdakosh-json`](https://github.com/bikashpadhikari/nepali-brihat-sabdakosh-json).

The original dictionary source represented by the dataset is Nepali Brihat Sabdakosh / नेपाली बृहत् शब्दकोश.

The repository code, website, validation scripts, and static API generator are released under the MIT License in [`LICENSE`](LICENSE).

The dictionary data itself may have separate rights and licensing requirements. The structured JSON upstream project notes that its code is MIT licensed while the original dictionary data license is uncertain. Please verify the Nepali Brihat Sabdakosh source rights before redistributing the data, publishing mirrors, or using it commercially.

Until the original data rights are confirmed, the dictionary data should not be represented as public domain. The project can still be used as a public-access technical wrapper around the data, with clear attribution and caution.
